I have wandered lonely

The photographs were taken on July 27th in the north parts of Vantaa.

In the morning it rained, but the weather cleared up. The next few days will be sunny ones.

As long as skies are blue, and fields are green

The photographs were taken on July 26th.

It rained today. In the afternoon I got rather wet while riding the bicycle. An electric fatbike passed me, going over 40 km/h, which I think was rather high speed on a narrow path, especially as there was no sound to warn of his approach from behind.

There are many terms for this

The photographs were taken at Vuorela on July 24th.

I have take a couple of thousand photographs with the new LX100 camera. The new LX100 feels different than the old LX100, which was worn out. Even the shutter sound is a bit different, not so sleepy. The controls work flawlessly, which feels a bit strange as I had got used to non-responsiveness and other quirks.

It is great to have a camera without a problem of having lots of dust inside the lens. However, I have still some photographs taken with the old LX100 waiting for processing, blemished with dust spots.

The end is limited by light

The photographs were taken at Ritoniemi in Kuopio on July 23rd.

This morning I walked in Vaakkoi, and got only two deer fly, probably because of strong wind. In six days I have got 13 hours of exercise, eight hours riding the bicycle and five hours walking. I think I'll rest tomorrow.

Cunningly conscious that I am aware

The photographs were taken at Ritoniemi in Kuopio on July 23rd. There were no other people on the beach when we walked on it.

I rode the bicycle this week for 180 km. This morning it rained a lot, and I got soaked. The long-sleeve shirt, gloves and shoes were still wet at the end of the work day, which wasn't so nice when riding the bicycle back home.

Men persist and circle

The photographs were taken at Vuorela on July 23rd.

This week has been great for commuting by bicycle. There are plenty of others riding the bicycle, to such a degree that there are queues in some places. But after September it will probably get much less busy on the bicycle routes.

Shall at that time be sorrowful and sad

The photographs were taken at Vuorela near Kuopio on July 22nd.

I'm more and more astounded about the rise of hate speech, Donald Trump being just one example of the narcissistic clowns who have no heart.

Till the whole hopeless blind herd

The photographs were taken on July 20th.

This morning I went for a walk in Luukki, starting at 7 AM when the temperature was 12 °C. It will be a warm day, up to 24 °C. This week I have got 14 hours of exercise, half of it riding the bicycle and the other half walking.

The Hugo Awards were announced. I have read both the best novel, The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin, and the best novella, Binti by Nnedi Okorafor. Good choices both.

Who wake up and punch the air

The photographs were taken on July 18th in Espoo, while exploring Träskända and the central park on bicycle.

This morning I walked for two hours in Nuuksio, starting from Velskola and walking around lake Kattilajärvi. I got three deer fly. My record is from September 12th, 2015, when I got 87 deer fly when walking in Meiko.

Who hunt mostly by way of sight

The photographs were taken in Espoo on July 17th.

So far this year I have got 4005 km riding the bicycle. If this rate continues, I'll reach 6000 km by the end of the year, which would be 1000 km more than last year.

Charity's green cheese is scattered

The photographs were taken in Meiko on July 16th.

This morning it rained, but in the afternoon it was dry. The wind direction turned so that I had partial backwind both in the morning and in the afternoon.

I charge you disturb not my slumbering fair

The photographs were taken on July 15th, riding the bicycle near Luukki. Both of the photographs show places where I have gone walking and looked at the landscape from the opposite direction.

Today was a rainy day. In the morning I wasn't too wet, but in the afternoon it rained a lot and I got soaked through.
