Survival, its unstoppable view

The photographs were taken on January 16th in Nuuksio.

This morning I had headwind but no rain, and in the afternoon there was rain but backwind, which was all right for commuting by bicycle. There is a lot of flooding, because of melting snow and rain, and because the ground is frozen. The depth of snow is now 0 cm, according to Helsinki-Vantaa airport measurement. Apropos, I may need to buy a new belt, as the current one is at the shortest setting.

(Posting title is from the poem Salter's Gate by Anne Stevenson.)

Recently we had some heavy and wet snow falling, which stuck to trees, bending them towards ground. The results were rather interesting. I don't yet know if I managed to take any photographs worth posting here, but it was great to go and see what happened.
