Illuminated on the surface of some

This morning I walked for 1 1/2 hours, looking at autumn colors. I saw a deer, but it was so shy and fast I didn't catch it in a photograph.

These photographs were taken on September 4th.

(Posting title is from the poem Shy Boy by Greg Sellers.)

I can just about feel the season and climate changing by view of these pictures alone..

i am not a fan of short days, and less day light, so i seem to always brace for October vs. embrace..

but I read here you acclimate/adjust and so i am curious in advance to see the upcoming photography

and write about now I'd like to be in Hawaii..

Blessings!

Autumn is already quite advanced, even though it is a bit late this year. Birch trees are starting to be bare, and aspen and maple will soon follow. For some reason there is very little red color, but plenty of yellow and delicate green tones.
