Made stranger still by what I have seen

When the weather gets cold but there is still water flowing, there are ice formations to explore with a camera. These photographs were taken by a stream in Meiko on January 6th.

Yesterday I walked 2 1/2 hours, first at noon, and then a sunset time. The length of day is now 6 h 50 min, over an hour longer than at the shortest. That is quite a change already.

(Posting title is from the poem Winter Journal: The Sky Is the Lost Orpheum by Emily Wilson.)
