Scanning the sky for some sign

I commuted by bicycle every day this week, for a total of 163 km and 7 1/2 hours. Not bad. I'm tired, but it is not so much the physical exhaustion, it is more about a lot of things happening.

The weather forecast promises warm (+19 °C) and sunny weather for the weekend. I hope I'm able to go for a walk, even though the deer fly season is upon us. And there are a lot of deer fly, much more than ever before. Last Sunday while driving home I picked a dozen from my hair, and at home I found three more.

(Posting title is from the poem Today We Fly by Curzio Malaparte, translated by Walter Murch.)
