Where we’ve often met

I did 45 minutes of shoveling snow this morning. There was 10 cm of very heavy show and snow slush to move. We got a little more snow during the day, but it was so wet that it melted at once. The landscape looks like winter now. However, I'm still rather tired, and shoveling snow provided plenty of exercise, so it may be that I won't go for a walk today.

Here is a pair of photographs, taken at approximately the same spot in Helsinki on February 24th and 27th. This was when the last of the snow we had melted away. Since then we had warm and dry weather, and it felt like spring - until today.

(Posting title is from the poem Meet Me in the Green Glen by John Clare.)
