Lao Tzu traversed a more slippery world

We got sunshine today, after the snowfall of yesterday evening and night. We got 10 cm snow on top of the old, and in some places there was 20 cm of new snow. The children wanted to go outside, so we had a walk in the Nuuksio wilderness area.

Roads were slippery, and while I was driving towards Nuuksio, a car coming back from there got stuck in the middle of hill, when trying to drive uphill. Luckily there was room for him to try again, getting some speed before driving the uphill part of the road. But that was the only difficulty for us, making room for the car to pass us on the narrow road.

Here are some photographs from today, ice is the topic.

(Posting title is from the poem Ice Bound by Walter Bargen.)
