We went today once again to Kaitalampi lake, walking the east side all the way to the view point on top of a rocky hill south of the lake. There we found a European adder, which was quite shy and rapidly escaped to an underground hole when we approached. This was a black-colored one, which had probably been warming up on the rocks.
In the same place we also found Camberwell Beauty, resting on the rock. It allowed taking a few photographs, but when I tried to move too fast it flew away. A bit careless of me.

Some of your recent "semi-abstract" landscapes are looking really good. Enough material for a photobook, I would think!
@Sven W: Book-making might be something to try out, especially as Aperture has built-in capabilities for generating PDFs for online viewing and printing though Blurb etc. But as long as autumn keeps on the color show I think I'll try to minimize the time spent at the computer. For the dark winter days this would be a nice project to do.
