Spring in Brussels

I went to a EU meeting in Brussels, having cold meals eaten while standing, and trying to keep up with things. I moved around using trains and metro; nowadays this is easy, but I remember being quite confused about the system when I first came to Brussels.

The weather was gray, but spring was already visible as early flowers were blooming. Here are some photographs taken in Brussels. More to follow.

Nice to see some people in your images ... many of your images tend emphasise the lines & curves of man-made objects (architecture / technology).

[I realise you prefer to keep family and friends out of this blog.]

I don't mean to be picky, but the people walking across the square look awkward. I've rarely taken candids of people walking but you've reminded me to take several snaps and pick the one where people are mid-stride but look "natural". Looking at some photos on the 'net I think the trick is for leg touching the ground (via its foot) to be straight. Just sayin'.

I tend to avoid taking photographs of people, yes, except for the family members. But in a city like Brussels it is very hard to avoid having them in.

And indeed, the people in the square photograph look awkward. Lack of practice I guess.
