Damselfly

Last Sunday I returned to the pond where I took photographs of a Brown Hawker, but didn't get lucky again.

Today I tried the pond once again, and got lucky. There was an Emerald Damselfly which stayed in place long enough to take some photographs. And it even returned to the same spot for some more. This is much smaller than the Brown Hawker, but beautiful nevertheless. Both are common here in Finland.

I hesitated between a silhoutte-type photograph with deep darks or trying to catch more of the colors. I guess #1 was about right.
